We both love cheeseburgers, fries, and cokes, so naturally we went to Smashburger on a pleasant Spring Friday. These pictures are making me very hungry! We enjoyed walking there and saw a nice wasp nest on the way.

Good Friday
Not that Jessica or I really celebrate Good Friday specifically, in any case we had a really good one! We made Easter crafts, enjoyed the sunny weather and played a little i pad together.

Time flies!
Who's that girl poking her head out of the peppers? |
So proud of that beautifully arranged vegetable cart! |
Chicken nuggets from Warren's, the local fast food joint |
Jessica and Debra Fox (my mom) at City Creek: instant friends. |
This is actually the kind of picture that makes you want to renounce fast food forever. (Not our most flattering pose.) :) |
The beautiful and tasty sugar cookie Jessica made. I LOVE sugar cookies! Thanks Jessica! |
This video is delightful. I think it was inspired from a karaoke session at the Utah Museum of Contemporary Art. Nice singing Jessica!
The awesome "Beatles" painting I traded for. I think it looks great in Asher's room in an eclectic sort of way. I'm excited to have a piece of art from such a talented woman! |

Food Bank Friday!
Here we are outside the Ogden Food Bank! We spent three hours there sorting and stacking various foods. It is such a great activity for us, as we both LOVE food! We have some really great conversations about what kinds of food excite us, etc.
Our first job was to organize the vegetable shelf. While it's arguable that corn is actually a vegetable, at the Ogden food bank, they call it a vegetable.
Our next task was to organize all the dairy products. We enjoyed handling the yogurts. It was really really fun. Can you tell? I can't wait to go back.

Lunch from Beto's: chicken, cheese, and beans. It's a gas!
Then, the snow started blowing in on a sideways gust. By then, Jess was already laying on the couch watching "Happy Feet." No wonder, she didn't want to get up and do art projects with me (see above picture). :) So, we watched the snow, watched the movie, and Jess watched me work on the joint-printmaking venture we've been working on for about 6 months now. It was a great day of work AND resting. :)

Brrr....January is cold!
Time to warm up with some hot grilled cheese sandwiches and tomato soup. Salad added for roughage to help it all go down well!
Cold, icy, blustery day. Welcome to Ogden.
Winter Retreat with tea, play dough, printmaking, and painting.

A visit to Utah County!
Since the frontrunner now runs south the Utah county. I wanted nothing more than to take Jessica to visit my Alma Mater, BYU. We visited my two favorite places there: the art museum and the creamery. Above is Jessica with her new awesome pink iphone. That girl has all the gadgets, what a babe!
These Michael Whiting sculptures were so cool. I couldn't get enough of them!
Here's Jess in front of the banners describing the exhibits we saw: Andy Warhol and Takashi Murakami, Michael Whiting (see yellow piece below), photography by Alex Webb, and a fun exhibit all about mythologies and super heroes in our contemporary society. We had so much fun looking at all the cool art!
Lastly, we ate lunch at the BYU creamery. You can't beat a 3.50 kid's meal, complete with a small icecream cone at the end of the meal!
